Why a custom RJ45 pinout?
Every cable carries four digital I/O lines and full power rails (3.3 V, 5 V, two GND returns). One patch cable connects a relay module — power and signal, no breadboard, no solder. It looks like ethernet, but it isn't — never plug it into a switch.
